Case Study of Thin Client Implementation: Kurashiki City Hall

Examples of achieving user-friendliness, operational efficiency, and reduction of information security risks.

We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of Mintwave's screen transfer type thin client. The Kurashiki City Hall introduced thin clients as early as 2003, utilizing Mintwave devices in approximately 50 departments, where their stability, robustness, and usability were highly praised. After about 10 years since the initial implementation, they planned to replace the devices with new thin client terminals and transition to a VDI-based thin client system. As a result, Mintwave terminals were reintroduced in 2014. The materials provide an overview of the background and the effects of the implementation. [Implementation Effects] ■ Reduced information security risks with centrally managed thin clients ■ Improved response times with the switch to new terminals ■ Streamlined operations with management tools ■ Expanded usage of thin clients through the transition to VDI *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Case Study of Thin Client Implementation: Nakano City Hall

Renewed to a dedicated thin client terminal for Mintwave, making operation management easier.

We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of Mintwave's screen transfer-type thin client. In Nakano City, the central city of Northern Nagano, during the update of information systems in 2016, thin clients and two-factor authentication were introduced with the aim of enhancing security. In 2018, wireless LAN was introduced in conjunction with the relocation of the government office. Stable operation has been achieved even after the introduction of wireless LAN. The materials provide an overview of the background and the effects of the implementation. 【Implementation Effects】 ■ Centralized data management and enhanced security required for local governments through two-factor authentication ■ Reduced operational burden through remote maintenance with user-friendly management tools ■ Seamless daily operations while responding on-site during disasters ■ Optimization of performance under wireless LAN through verification with Mintwave *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
